Brookie for sure, my largest was a few inches smaller than the one you posted. Caught it in a lake in Cape Breton. It was the best trophy lake I have fished to date and not many knew about it when I started fishing it. Unfortianatly it's not the same today, there's still a few 2lbers caught in there, but the average is now pan size, it use to be 2.5Lb only 5 years ago.

Nice fish perry, I'd love to take a trip to Labrador some day.
Catch and Release fishing is a lot like golf. You don't have to eat the ball to have a good time

This was easily the most beautiful Brook trout I've ever had the pleasure of spending a moment with!! 5+lb's of pure beauty!!!
Few moments leave me speechless...but this was certainly one of them. Just a shame i had no one with me to properly photograph it.. as it was it was a quick shot and back in the water.
I'll never forget this fish 8)

I truly hate these kind of questions, I may see fish a little different than most of you, but I had to pick Brooktrout over the Browns.
I guess that comes from the fact that trying to catch a big Brookie is not an easy thing to do in the United States. I had a fantastic time many years ago when a client of mine envited me to fish his private water in Rhode Island, it was the Queen River and had never been stocked, ever!!!!To call this a river was saying a lot but remember Rhode Island is but a postage stamp compared to any other state. I had more fun that day catching fish right around 10 inches that kicked my ass,I had never seen Brooktrout as strong or as heavy for their size. My trophy for the day measure in at 13 inches and believe me a full 2 lbs.
So I just have to go with the most Beautiful of them all.

Nice brookies for sure, the island would be more doable for me. Maybe I'll have to plan a trip there sometime, LOL.

One of the reasons I'd like to go to labrador is I prefer fishing lakes for brookies. I've fished a few rivers for brookies in CB and caught some monster sea run, but I always want to go back to the lakes. I guess it's just because that's what I grew up doing.
